Founder and Director Michael Barilla (B.Bus, MNIA) has many years’ experience as an accountant in the transport, hospitality and retail industries as well as working with chartered accountancy firms. During his career, he was often asked to review in-house or externally provided bookkeeping.
“I was often amazed by the poor quality of work produced by the bookkeeping industry, the lack of government regulation and how expensive it was hiring accountants to fix up the mess,” he says.
Michael established Total Books Bookkeeping Services because he knew that bookkeeping could be done much better and in so doing save businesses a great deal of time and worry. His total customer service attitude is what he believes separates Total Books from other bookkeeping organisations because Total Books are focused on delivering a service which suits the customers requirements.
To maintain this consistency amongst all his employees, Michael personally interviews and tests every potential candidate to ensure they have the appropriate skills and experience as well as great communication abilities and the high customer focus which ensures his bookkeepers deliver the best result for their customers every time.
